You cannot pass the PMP exam by simply reading the books on project management. Or by having 4 to 5 years of experience, or 4500 to 7500 hours involvement in a Project. It requires dedication, hard work and a lot of preparation. PMBoK 5 has five process groups.

Initiating
You will take the initiative to clear the PMP exam.
Practice will only help you to be clear in your concepts, and will give you confidence when you take the final exams.
Use the PMP Exam Prep Book, also known as PMP Exam Guides. They cover all the topics in the PMBok5 but in a simpler way that is easy to understand.
There are many training programs that can be used to provide excellent assistance. You can also access the programs online and meet your instructor whenever you like. Attend a boot camp to help you learn more quickly.
Set a goal and try to answer as many questions as possible. This will help you in the final exams.

Planning
You must plan your time and make time for preparation. People make excuses like they have a family or don’t have the time. They also claim that they are busy with other projects. But you must be committed and allow yourself to dedicate at least 2 – 3.
Your free time can be used to study for your exams. You can reduce the amount of conversations you have with people around you, and stop browsing the internet, naps, or taking naps.
