Logicworks Launches Cloud Patrol Security Software on AWS

Cloud Patrol is a security management tool that Logicworks launched to manage security policies for Amazon Web Services Inc. (AWS).
Official AWS partner and AWS Managed Services Program member, the new solution uses DevOps tooling with engineering support to help developers and users create and enforce security policies in enterprise AWS environments.
Cloud Patrol was “designed to help enterprise compliance teams and security teams protect deployments against human error, inconsistent configurations, and common vulnerabilities,” the company stated in a statement last Wednesday.
Cloud Patrol consists of two components: an Automation Framework, and a set automated tests or scanners.
Logicworks stated that the Automation Framework defines the tools, processes, and protocols that are common to all client environments. This allows security rules, network foundations, and access policies to be easily replicated and centrally managed. The automated tests run custom scripts that monitor AWS environments and flag any security risks or errors before they cause problems.
Cloud Patrol is not a static piece, says a blog post. It is a service that helps you strategically develop standard configurations, convert those configurations into templates, and then enforce those configurations using both engineers and scripts.
Terry Wise, AWS executive, said that “we were hearing from customers that automation and DevOps were a big part in future security plans and they want to rely native-AWS tooling for those plans to become reality.” “Logicworks is an AWS Premier Consulting Partners in the APN and can take this feedback to develop a product on AWS to help enterprises become more agile while also increasing security.
